About Slocum

Rapid Access = No Waiting

To provide the best care for patients, our Rapid Access Service accommodates people with injuries that are less than seven days old. You can be seen without an appointment Monday through Friday. People of all ages and activity levels are welcome. Whether you’re a “weekend warrior,” a committed recreational athlete, or need to get back to work or gardening, we’ll get you on the road to recovery.

Every day you wait to have your injury assessed, you may miss a day of work, a night of sleep, or time from your favorite sport or activity. Through Rapid Access, you will:

  • Receive immediate care from a musculoskeletal expert
  • Access X-rays, MRI, or physical therapy, if needed
  • Benefit from early diagnosis and treatment for safe and early return to activity


Our physicians, organized as Slocum Orthopedics, PC, wholly own the Slocum Therapy Center, Surgery Center and MRI Services. Patients always have the option to use other surgery facilities, therapy centers or imaging services in the community. We will gladly accommodate your wishes.
