"My sports career suddenly ended when I suffered a knee dislocation in high school soccer. Fortunately, this led to a strong desire to pursue my orthopedic career including advancement in surgical techniques. I enjoy getting my patients back on their feet whether they have had an acute injury or a long-standing orthopedic problem. Since my injury, more than 30 years ago, my sports and activities have become more limited. However, I enjoy cycling, cross-country skiing, occasional scuba diving, doubles tennis, swimming, hiking, and rarely golf.
I am very busy with three teenage children. I enjoy being involved in a variety of their sports including coaching soccer. I enjoy volunteering for a variety of different organizations and non-profit programs in Lane County and serve as an elder in my church. I often serve as a camp doctor when my children attend summer camp. I’ve enjoyed a variety of mission trips, practicing orthopedics around the world. Locally, I feel fortunate that I’m able to offer my patients state-of-the-art orthopedic care.
My best support is Lissy, my wife since 1982."
