Excellent at Explaining my Hand Issue....Gentle as could be on my injections...Put up with my trying to pronounce his last name....will be back shortly for another injection.
I have had 2 surgical procedures, one on each hand. One was for Carpal Tunnel, the other for trigger fingers. Carpal Tunnel was painless and performed in a surgical suite. I was awake and out by noon. The relief was immediate and returned to normal functioning during the next 6 months. The Trigger Finger surgery was accomplished within an hour with a local anesthetic at a surgical room at Slocum. All went well without a hitch. Both hands are functional now. You can hardly tell there were any incisions. I am most appreciative of Dr. Tavakolian for his compassion, skills, straight forwardness in telling me my options and probable outcomes; and, I proud to recommend him as The Orthopedic Doctor to see if you want the best.
I have been to Slocum prior to this experience. I have even been seen once before with Dr. Tavakolian. The professionalism, knowledge, bed side manner and calmness with which Dr. T exhibited was outstanding! He not only took the extra time needed to explain the procedure, he also has a way of calming nerves and anxiety. The day of the surgery went as expected. The entire staff on the floor was also outstanding. I felt like I was the only patient and everything was geared toward me. From the custodian, to the nurses and the anesthesiologist were amazing in knowledge and attitude! They ALL make you feel like family. Thank you so much for an exceptionally positive experience!
I am 72 years old and had never broken a bone before, so I was rather apprehensive. When Dr. Tavakolian addressed my situation I was instantly put at ease. The care I received at the Slocum Center was all that I could hope for. The man who put my cast on to the X-ray technicians were all friendly and helpful. I had to have a plate put in after a few weeks due to my bone slipping. The healing from that operation went well with no problems. In fact, other than the small scar, I cannot tell that there was ever a break. I have no pain at all. Thank you all for a good experience even though I had to break a bone to get it!!
Many thanks to Dr. Tavakolian for the expert surgery he performed to correct my Carpal Tunnel problem on my right hand. Well done Doc!
