ABOUT

During my 40 year career at Slocum, I’ve had the opportunity to actively participate within national societies in hand, shoulder, and elbow care while holding management positions within Slocum, and serve as the chief of surgery at a major hospital.

I’ve been able to share my knowledge and experience through teaching within the Oregon Health & Science University and the Orthopedic Learning Center, and support the University of Oregon athletes as an associate team physician. I enjoy seeing patients comfortably return to their every day activities such as work, hobbies, and sports. Recovering from injury can be a difficult journey, where emotional support and rehabilitation can be equally important as their treatment.

When not practicing medicine, I participate in volunteer work with local charities, enjoy cycling, cooking, baking, maintaining our backyard vineyard, and exploring Eugene’s food carts and brew pubs.
