Patient Testimonials

I've seen Ken Butters, Brian Jewett, and now Rudy Hoellrich. I am deeply grateful for all three- they have been simply excellent in every respect!

I worked as a Disability Evaluator for the State of Oregon for many years. I had access to medical reports from most of the Orthopedists in the State, giving me a perfect position to compare outcomes of their treatments. Dr. Butters stood out as far and away the most effective orthopedic surgeon in the area of shoulders and hands, so when I needed treatment for my own arthritic symptoms, it was an easy decision to call him. Before I retired in 2001, I had painful nodes on my fingers and was having great difficulty typing. Dr. Butters fused the distal joint of my right index finger, giving me complete relief of the pain to this day. He injected my shoulders some time ago, (long enough that I have forgotten the date), also with complete relief. My most recent treatment was bilateral steroidal injections in my first carpal-metacarpals, (thumb-wrist joints) in September of 2016, and three months later, I am still enjoying the resolution of my pain. Would I recommend him? In a heartbeat! Thank you, Dr Butters!

As good as it could possibly be. Having crushed the head of my radias on a Thursday because of a "foolish" injury, I met with Dr Butters on the Friday. Dr Butters did everything he could to expedite a cat scan and surgery. He was clear to explain the extent of the injury, the surgery needed, the level of pain to expect, and recovery time. Thank you one and all at the Slocum Center for the excellence in all you do. Our community is hugely impacted in a positive way by your presence.

I had two surgeries. One on my elbow, and one one my thumb. They were relatively close together and had really great results for both. Dr.Butters is such a wonderful no nonsense kind of physician and I appreciate that. He tells you exactly what kind of results to expect and how much downtime to expect so it is easy to plan ahead for the procedure. I really enjoyed working with him and his staff of friendly people.

I was always treated with respect and dignity. Nearly no waiting time in lobby for a scheduled appt. Therapy was amazing as well. Thank You to all.
