Ultrasound

Musculoskeletal ultrasound is a diagnostic imaging tool that creates images of specific areas in the body using high-frequency sound waves.

Ultrasound imaging is a precise way to guide injections into many joints or soft tissues in the body, which greatly improves accuracy and decreases the pain associated with injection procedures.

Studies in some recent orthopedic journals have indicated that orthopedic providers can be more accurate in giving injections when the injection is guided by ultrasound.

Safe: Ultrasound imaging is noninvasive and assists in precision with needle guidance. It involves no radiation, making the test very safe for patients. The experience is comfortable for patients and can be used as many times as necessary.
