  •  Stay with your child before surgery
  •  Know the names of the doctors and nurses taking care of your child
  •  Receive information about your child’s pain and pain relief measures
  •  Expect that the information regarding your child’s care to be kept private
  •  Receive post-op discharge instructions for your child in a way that you understand
  •  Receive language assistance, when needed for communication
